The Soul of Democracy is at Stake!

One bitter fruit of our broken electoral systemis how it gives the party who's cornered an incentive to go very negative.We see this with Mitt Romney's saying the Soul of America is at Stake!This is a blatant twisting of God-speak to manipulate our fears, what the Chancellor of Germany would do.I'm reminded of how I was asked a question about my views on presidential politicsin conservative Idaho four years ago.  I told them I could live with either and that the real change I looked for was going to come from the bottom-up, not the top-down.    No doubt, we'll get lots of claimsfrom both sides that we gotta get their guy in the White House.
Yet, we may just not get it...what really matters is the need to subvert this cut-throat competitive struggleto be the top-party.  Do we tend our Democracy's Soulor do we go the way of the DINOs?Democracy In Name Onlydlw
